Is finura read-only?
What finura can and cannot do with your connected accounts.
Last updated Jul 18, 2026
Yes. finura connects to your financial accounts in read-only mode. It can see balances and transactions, and it cannot move money, make payments, or change anything at your bank.
What this means in practice
- finura can: read balances, read transaction history, categorize and convert them.
- finura cannot: initiate transfers, pay bills, withdraw funds, or alter your bank settings.
This isn't a policy we could quietly change — the ability to move money simply isn't built into finura. A leaked credential would expose visibility, never control.
Your credentials
Bank logins are handled by Plaid, not finura. We never see or store your bank password. You can revoke finura's access at any time from Accounts → Disconnect, or from your bank's connected-apps settings.
Encryption
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
